Good thing he wasn't black,or he would of been shot...
with a real gun.

I have little problem with this cop's actions. I think that he should have warned the guy first though. He was being aggressive, but the cop was still pretty far from harm's way. I understand why the cop shot so fast though. First off, he tased the guy, and there is little harm done by this, second if you're threatening an armed cop, you should expect a negative consequence. The cop wasn't stupid though, and he wasn't at all abusing the assailant. So while I think the cop was a little too fast to the trigger, I understand why he was, and I don't really think the cop was in the wrong.

The police over react way too much. The guy looks old and its not like he was carrying a weapon. The officer didn't help fix the situation since that guy's car would stay parked there for a while, which was the problem in the first place.

yea, that's the impression I'm getting aswell

maybe fearful people are disproportionally attracted to the job as you are allowed to just gun down everything around you once you feel fear while wearing a badge

well if you pay attention to these cases in america, the common defense is, "i feared for my life!" and that line would work here as well since the old man came out of the car aggressively. and i do know people in my personal life who are attracted to this line of work.. let me just say that i have very little respect for them haha. most people who go into this are textbook characters.

I'd say what the officer did was acceptable.

I would write an essay why I think so but then I remembered having any sort of opinion and no matter how explained it is, people still attack it regardless.

people have pointed at me, yelled at me and even walked aggressively towards me many a time and I never used a Taser (or any other weapon) on any of them , HOW AM I STILL ALIVE ?

Those people aren't potential armed criminals who are naturally more dangerous than 'people walking aggressively towards you'.

When a taser goes off in this country (uk) it's treated as last case and there are checks to see the reasons why. In my view, I don't care, I think cops should use them more, just lower the wattage to make them safer. If you get aggressive towards a police man, do you expect them to back down? Your own fault. Respect them and they will respect you.

Hmm, pie.

I don't see anything wrong there.

Old ass man will react better to police next time around, I am guessing.
