The man should be glad..... He had a real gun in his holster...

In all seriousness, cops in the US are too f'in trigger happy. Why is that?

I have NO problem with this. Don't jump out your car, point your hand at a cop, then walk toward them aggressively while yelling. He's lucky it wasn't a whole lot worse.

If you're in a situation where someone is coming at you in anger and they might or might not have a knife or a gun, what are you going to do?  Pull out a taser or a stick?

How about people simply not be fucking stupid in the first place?  Wouldn't that be so much better?  Why is that too much to ask?

The dude looked insane and aggressive. The policeman took no chances. I would've done the same if I were him.

Dont give attitude for no reason, why is that so hard to understand?

It isn't. But I am watching the video on youtube, sleeping in my bed. The officer reacted differently because he is naturally protective of himself first and foremost. It doesn't matter what kind of training you get, your safety will come first.

"I feared for my safety/life" is such a bullshit reason, the other guy was aggressive when he exited the car, but after a few steps he noticeably got calmer and more neutral

he was no "threat", it's not a battle field and he is not an enemy combatant, just a normal citizen that was a bit pissed at first and that happens all the time, the officers should be able to deal with the situation with what they learned in their de-escalation training
