The realize the movie only officially hit theaters yesterday, right? And that critic reviews were embargoed until August 6th? So the internet has been talking about the movie for two whole days. I wouldn't say it's quite at beating a dead horse stage yet. People were still concerned that this turd would be jutisifed by box office numbers, and thankfully, it looks like the general public is smart enough to stay away.

Something inside of me tells me that people who make awful movies like this one are well aware of how bad they are. This movie's box office performance should show them that they can't always get away with this crap.

bet: lost

is the movie really that bad? for me it's a no go because I can't stand Michael B. Jordan nor Miles Teller.

Not at all surprising. It'll be interesting to see though you many people try to use this and Ant-Man as evidence that superhero movies are declining now.

I watched Chronicle and yes, it's alright but the main actor in it isn't great, I generally think the whole video cam story telling is silly. Anyway, the director getting this gig was fine, nothing but BUT I had reservations on the film to begin with just because I don't think the Fantastic Four translates to film very well.

Not seen this yet but will.

Hmm, pie.

I watched this movie and it was bad. (didn't contribute to the box office though, I paid for MI:5). Thing is, it actually could have been a decent sci-fi movie if they hadn't attached the name fantastic four to it. I'm sorry but the fantastic four are an inherently cheesy brand, you can do dark and gritty with batman but you can't with FF. It just doesn't work.

For all the crap the previous two films got they were at least tonally very close to the comics and those movies nailed the character interactions and family dynamics. The only real problem with those movies was the cheap look/feel and weak plot, but in terms of the tone they were spot on.

This embarrassment could have been avoided if they just called this movie Chronicle 2. That is clearly what Josh Trank really wanted to make.

This movie looks like shit, I'm not going to see it

Good. The movie looks bad and I'm getting tired of these super hero movies.
