Obviously. The ideal would be the TLOUR and Uncharted collection treatment. Better textures, better AF, better lighting / effects, maybe better characters modeling, solid 60fps and even gameplay improvements like for UC collection.

That would be enough to improve the immersion and even gameplay (60fps) for those that have already played the PS3 game. I know the TLOUR treatment did it for me.

By todays standards the environments are a little barren and sharpening them resolution wise would actually emphasise that more. When I say added assets I mean things that aren't actually there such as extra trees, more complex structure, extra statues and the such.

they should have just packed it in with bloodborne for free. why is this automatically not an option? it takes just about no effort to port these games onto ps4 discs, so they really should have just packed it in for free.

Only if it came with an expansion that allowed access to the land of giants beyond the shattered archstone, otherwise they shouldn't bother.

I'd buy it.

Never played it on PS3 cause I bought Dark Souls first. A remaster would be a perfect thing for me! :)

There will be a fully functional PS3 emulator within the next 10 years is my guess. So never say never.

Even today dreamcast and ps2 emulators arent working right for most games. I rather want to have a bug free experience, and such emulator wouldnt give you true 60 frames

I disagree with regards to PS2. More than half the games run fine if you have the right computer and settings. Still I agree that PCSX2 is much less bug free of an experience than PPSSPP and Dolphin, both of which are much smoother than their native platforms. Nevertheless there are work arounds that enhance the experience like save states.

I think the future of emulation looks much more like Dolphin and PPSSPP. Open source with a strong community fixing bugs and making the experience flawlessly accurate rather thank hacks and hooks that are pretty buggy (PCSX2.)

I played SoC on PC like in 2011, and it was a pain in the ass to get my games running on the PS2 emulator. And all what it could do is upskipping the frames to make it 60fps which isnt real 60 frames, it looked inferior to the HD remaster which improved the framerate to constant 30 frames, only the resolution was lower than on my PC.

Yes, please! That's what I think about it. :P

Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won

You played it four years ago, that is a huge timespan for the advancement of 6th generation emulators. For example, Dophin emulator went from barely playing games with a plethora of glitches in 2011, to playing almost everything more flawlessly than the Wii at 4k resolutions in 2014/2015. Today I can play SOTC full-speed (Downsampled 1440p, 30 fps.) ICO I had some slowdown when I passed certain enivironmental features, in comparison, but I fixed that by altering some of the cycle settings. Otherwise, the game ran perfectly. Recently I have been replaying Xenosaga on PCSX2, and it is one of the most demanding PCSX2 games with the most glitches. It is a much more enjoyable experience than on PS2 though, because of the crisp resolution. So far I've only noticed a glitch where some save points take you to the bios (I use save states anyway, so this is not an issue.) A working PS3 emulator will be here within the next 10 years.

You arent getting true 30fps from SotC
