I've never watched a Women's UFC fight or Boxing match because I thought it was "hott" to watch two girls "literally beat the shit out of each other" (as if it's any different than watching two guys do the same?). She is a professional fighter and she is a bad ass at what she does for a living. The fights are fun to watch whether male or female. It's a sport and its particularly entertaining to watch Ronda Rousey fight and dominate her sport the way she does.

Your comment is reeking of sexism and the scary thing is I bet you don't think it is at all..

I would just like to add that its also refreshing to see two girls fighting in a cage. What Ronda brings to the table is unabashed sternness in her interviews as well as in the cage; she just keeps going and its refreshing to see someone not afraid to create a rivalry and still hold onto it after a fight. Enter Meisha Tate. Its the buzz that Ronda brings with her where ever she goes, literally where ever she goes. My point is people may watch her because shes a woman but people follow her because she displays constant betterment in her career just as well as the other champions in the UFC. She's no different.

"That’s why I think it’s hilarious if my body looks masculine or something like that. Listen, just because my body was developed for a purpose other than f—ing millionaires doesn’t mean it’s masculine. I think it’s femininely badass as f— because there’s not a single muscle on my body that isn’t for a purpose"

I adore her.

I'm over Rousey at the moment. I think she needs to go up in weight because at this point she's going to be fighting the same women over and over.

Not really sure that's a great idea.  Just because you've conquered a certain weight class, doesn't mean your body type can translate well into higher weight classes.  Look at Roy Jones from LW to HW.  Sure, he could beat Ortiz...but Ortiz was one of the weaker champions the HW div had seen, at the time, and Jones was in that div just long enough to win one fight.  After he dropped back down to his natural weight class (where he had dominated for years) he lost a great deal of muscle structure/mass, and just couldn't regain it.  To me, it looks like bantam is her most natural weight (if not a tad lighter), I'm not sure more weight would fit on her frame as well as her current class.

Plus, it's not her problem if she's murdered the division, it's the UFC's problem for not finding her worthy competition.

The big difference is Roy Jones Jr started at Welterweight where he dominated and continuously moved up until he made it to Heavyweight. Not many fighters can make that jump successfully. Also when he moved back down in weight it was more age that slowed him than anything else. Plus with all the trash she's been talking about beating guys in way higher weight classes maybe she needs to prove she can win/dominate at the next class up. I mean when Anderson Silva was dominating Middleweight everyone wanted him to move up to fight Jon Jones or even fight GSP at a catch weight. Then GSP took time off, Jon Jones has been suspended indefinitely and Silva lost twice.

Ronda could move up if she wanted but then she would be in the same weight class as cyborg ,who she's been ducking for a while. But there are plenty women fighters at higher weight classes that UFC could bring in from their other promotions. They won't do it because no one would be interested in Bantamweight once Ronda left as she's squashed them all.

Age wasn't the only factor with Jones, Pre-HW Roy Jones muscle structure was much different than post-HW muscle structure.  Take a look at the pictures of him in his first fight after he moved back down, and a picture of him before he moved up.  There are clear differences in his build, at that point.  You also, cannot directly compare weight classes in boxing to MMA (I pointed out Jones Jr. as an example of why moving up can be detrimental, not directly comparing the two, at least, that wasn't my intention).  Boxer's can lose all kinds of muscle mass in their legs, and it doesn't matter in the slightest, because they don't have to deal with leg kicks, leg bars, tosses, wrestling etc...  MMA fighters do.

And if you hadn't noticed, Rousey has actually moved DOWN in class, since her Judo competitions.  It's entirely possible she realized she needed different weight distribution to fight MMA versus strictly Judo?  Just a guess, no real proof of that.

You can say she's 'ducking' her, but yeah, kinda hard to 'duck' people who aren't in your division, at a weight you've never competed at in MMA before.  Funny how the same isn't being said of Roidborg.

Well Anderson Silva moved back and forth between two weight classes constantly and he was still kicking ass. Rashad Evans did the same. The reason everyne talks about Rousey ducking Cyborg is because she claims she can beat anyone, even mentioning men in higher weight classes. You mention Cyborg to her and because she knows that's a fight that can happen it's always she needs to come down to my weight class and fight me. It's only that now she uses being UFC champ as her excuse. This fight wouldn't be about the belt since Cyborg is champion in her weight class so why not fight at a catch weight. That's what all the greats have done. Plus the match could be made easily since they're both under Zuffa (UFC and Invicta FC).

Anderson Silva also got absurdly submitted by Ryo Chonan in a lighter weight class, what's your point?

Point to any undefeated fighter (or most fighters in general), who openly admit they have no chance against X or Y person.  And for the record, Ronda probably could quite easily dismantle Mayweather and it'd be hilarious to watch.

As far as ducking...well, when you use banned substances to achieve weight gain, and tarnish your reputation that's a risk you take, isn't it?  From where I'm sitting, Ronda has nothing to prove against Cyborg.  Cyborg needs to prove she can fight anyone, naturally.

Literally, the most sexist comment on the subject XD.

I was speaking directly to the fact that the main reason she's so popular and is making the UFC so much money, is quite frankly because she has an overwhelmingly MALE fanbase. And just being honest, most of that fanbase do not like her because they respect her skills as a fighter. They liker her because she can fight, but also because she's attractive and even for many, publicly a "nerd", IE she publicly likes nerdy things like Pokemon.

I was expressing my own PERSONAL lack of attraction to women beating the shit out of each other. I respect them for their skill. But I stand by what I said...STRICLY from a perspective of the fact that most of her fans like her because "she's hot", I do not PERSONALLY find what she does for a living to be very "hot". I was simply stating an opinion.

That has nothing to do with her as a person, or a woman. You want to talk "Sexism", well, there ya go. The "sexism" happening is the very reason she's so popular in the first place. Because MMA fans, overwhelmingly male, like to see a "hot chick" fight. Period. That IS sexism at work, and it's making UFC millions. *shrug*
