Not game of the gen. Game of the gen needs to do something a bit more than Splatoon. Splatoon is just very fun. It will no doubt be the best new Nintendo game of this gen, I'd predict that one way in advance. I think the metacritic scores should be updated to account for all of the updates to be honest. It's sitting at 81. It should probably be at about 90 now.

but he's right, if You didn't played Splatoon you can't say nothing, because You don't know how is This game... Is not like The Order that You Can see The gameplay on YouTube and know is a bad Game. :p

As a Splatoon player I fully agree.

There is something about the game that makes it be brilliant, something you cannot understand if you havent played it. Its fluid, outright fun, sometimes pure chaotic, has great style and is fully coherent within its world. I really have not enjoyed a game this much in a very long time.

But I know that the Witcher 3 has much much more content than Splatoon and The Witcher 3 has a great story and The Witcher 3 looks great and The Witcher 3 is open world and and and...

I don't have to play Splatoon to know that it isn't the best game of the generation.

You are right, I shouldn't judge games when I haven't played them, but saying that the game is not the game of the generation is something completely different imo. 

Taking your logic I have to play every 8. generation game to know which game is the best game of the generation.

For the whole generation, that is way to early.

Game of the year for 2015, that is another story, but among the Nintendo products it is at the top right now.

Totally, people is usually very close minded for this things, only super ambitious cinematic and open world games can be contender for game of the generation. I say: bullshit.

Splatoon is one of the most addictive games ever created, it has the magic of the great games, not the ambition, not the budget, not the graphics, it has something way more important, is memorable, none of us are gonna forguet about it and its gameplay is never going to feel updated, because it´s perfect.

In the future when we think about this generation, Splatoon is gonna be considered one of the most important things that happened, the game is on it´s way to be the most popular online shooter of the history of Japan for some very good reasons.
