Forums - Sony Discussion - 3 month PS+ subscription to go up in price in Europe and New Zealand on September 1st

The 3 month PS+ subscription will become more expensive in the UK going from £11.99 up to £14.99. I have no idea if this will affect other regions but it will not affect the yearly subscription as stated in the email.

Edit: Apparently the price will also increase in New Zealand (from 24NZD to 32NZD) and in The Netherlands (Eurozone) as people are saying in the above Reddit post's comment section.

Edit: The price in France (and the entire Eurozone) will increase from €14.99 to €19.99 http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1091679

Sony exec 1 "We finally made a profit and where winning this console gen, so how do we throw it away?"

Sony exec 2 "Raise the price for online play?"

Sony exec 1 "Do it!"

Chill, it's just the 3 month subscription and most likely select markets.

Isn't that still cheaper than the 3 month US price?

  • £14.99 = $23.25
  • 32NZD = $20.96
  • €19.99 = $21.84

Nope.

As long as they don't change the yearly subscription I don't care. My PS+ backlog is so big that sure I won't ever stop the subscription.

It's only 3 months in select countries. Also, it's been more than 5 years without a price raise.

Or I'll just wait for the next Amazon sale for 33€/year
