Same wishful thinking back from pre-wiiU days. We know how it all ended up. Besides, Nintendo said themselves they won't be making a powerful console such as ps4, so I doubt FFXV and 7 will be there.

I made those about a year ago now. And yes, my WiiU prediction is very, very likely wrong now. X1 may end up higher too. Too early to say if PS4 rises even higher.



I predict NX launches in 2017 - not 2016

I'd reckon the PS4 numbers depends on how well received/how soon PS5 arrives.

JRPGs have NEVER meant much when it came to Nintendo consoles since the WII. If we take a look at last gen, the WII performed JUST AS badly as the Xbox 360 when it came to selling JRPGs so why is there no cries about this fact ?

When all is said and done I think FFXV on the X1 will outsell the WII Us highest selling JRPG. Square Enix is not stupid no matter how much people want to paint them as such ...

So much thirst for JRPGs on Nintendo consoles around here yet so little of it actually translates in the real world ...

I don't know what the best selling JRPG on Wii U is, but X has 130k or more sold, and XBO hasn't even sold 70k lifetime...

Did the Wii get many JRPGs? I really don't know.



Bet with bluedawgs: I say Switch will outsell PS4 in 2018, he says PS4 will outsell Switch. He's now permabanned, but the bet will remain in my sig.

You're also forgetting Sony would obliterate S-E in court, for breach of contract.  I mean, it's an interesting thought, but it ignores the deals that've already been made between Sony and S-E.

What deals exactly? Since FFXV is also on Xbox One and DQXI is also on 3DS there is clearly no exclusivity deal there between Sony and Square Enix.

Wasn't talking about XV, don't really care about it (And it actually wasn't even named in the comment I was responding to).  Should've been fairly obvious I was talking about the game Sony showed at their press conference, with the 'Play it first on PS4' sub-text.

Nintendo wont get any major third party support for its home consoles; especially from Japanese develors. Its a given. Dont dream too high.

Naruto, dragonball, J star victory or other anime games
Games like persona or catherine
Final fantasy
Kingdom hearts
Tales series
Pro evolution soccer
Etc are countless big Japanese games that coems to Playstation, Xbox or even in PC. Not Nintendo home console. What will change the mind of developers if Nintendo keeps their attitude intact.

Really? are you saying there is zero possibility that Zelda U could end up on a future handheld?

I said NOTHING regarding home console or handheld, simply that Nintendo may hold on to some eggs to place in a newer basket, if you read that as being "nx is a home console" then the fault is with your thinking.
