Definition of boring.

I'm watching the Gamescom live FFXV coverage now, and I walked in right when this trailer was starting. At the very beginning of it. Damn you, SE.

This game has so much potential to be an excellent Final Fantasy, after an almost fifteen year drought (FFX was the last top-tier mainline game besides the MMO's, in my opinion.) I hope it is great, and I can hype the series again. :)

I am very excited. I get some vibes from the "golden era" seeing these last few trailers, a mix of FFVI, VII, and VIII with some more classic influences from pre-V as well. The game has come a long way from Versus XIII.

There just needs to be some light-hearted and QUALITY humor to complement the drama, and decent characters, and I think this will be a great game. :)

Agreed. Was quite surprised at the reception in this thread. I thought this trailer was pretty nice. It didn't spoil anything, while it had an emotional impact and helped set up what the game's story might feel like.

Yes. I think they are dumping almost everything from the game once known as Final Fantasy Versus XIII.

This stream has done a magnificent job convincing me that the game is never coming. I guess going from the infamous Versus XIII and turning into XV, I thought they'd be closer to completion than telling us that just about every gameplay aspect they've talked about still has a lot of development left to go. I guess all that development time went into that Dawn trailer.

Well guys, they listened. They're giving people an official FFXV forum. That's, uh, totally what everybody was waiting for.

Well, that was terrible. I guess they're bringing more info to PAX Prime at the end of the month, as well as TGS. Clearly we can't expect anything that resembles a release window to be given to us before 2016 though.
