Forums - Movies & TV - Recommend me a book

I've never been a guy that reads a lot. I have been intrigued by some, and reading stuff online makes me interested in getting started on reading. So I thought, right before going to start university, it's best if I start reading some books.

I guess anything works. Books on history, game design, original stories, etc. If it helps, I've read like 5 books in my entire life: one about the history of football, Doctor Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, The Orange Girl, Bullshit stories (my sister gave that to me), and an inspirational-teenagers life and difficulties tips book (eugh).

What I do dislike are series' or long sagas. Either one book long story or 2. Anyway, I'd appreciate what you guys and gals can recommend me, and thanks.

Bet with bluedawgs: I say Switch will outsell PS4 in 2018, he says PS4 will outsell Switch. He's now permabanned, but the bet will remain in my sig.

Besides schoolwork, I've never actually read a book, lol. It's kinda sad, actually .-.

It.

Man its hard to believe people did not read the Harry Potter books at least. Those books were like crack back in the day. The only thing I got more hyped for than new PS2 games as a young teen.

Angels and Demons is one of my favorite books. We only had to read ~80 pages for some weird school project. But I could not put it down.

The Island of Doctor Moreau by HG Wells. Robots (a book of short tales) by Isaac Asimov (this book inspired the film "i robot" with Will Smith)

I'll admit, I never really read books during my free time, and I only really read if it's for an assignment.

A couple books I can recall genuinely enjoying were "And Then There Were None" by Agatha Christie, and "Lord of the Flies" by William Golding.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

You should try Message, by Fernando Pessoa. It's very short and yet it's one of the greatest poetry books. If you like history and is a curious person, this book is for you. But try to find a version that is close to the original (with archaic spelling).

Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won

Any of the Resident Evil novels. Really good take on the games.

Bet with Xander XT:

I can beat more games on his 3DS than he can on my PSVita in a month. Loser has to buy the winner a game on his/her handheld Guess who won? http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=193531
