Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Gears of War Graphics Comparison: Ultimate Edition vs. Xbox 360

Vastly improved, so many things re-worked. This is a really really stellar job, this game benefits a lpot from actually having colour.

Only negative I can really see is a lot of crushed blacks but other than that, it's great.

There's only 2 races: White and 'Political Agenda'
2 Genders: Male and 'Political Agenda'
2 Hairstyles for female characters: Long and 'Political Agenda'
2 Sexualities: Straight and 'Political Agenda'

DAT xb1 jump!
That's a remake, no contest.

That is how you do a remake, almost on the same level as the Halo 2 anniversary.

Nice remaster and it should feel better at 60fps. If I had the money, I would have bought it.

Man, I remember being blown away by the first Gears of War. This new one makes it look so ugly lol

See this is what I like. If you're going to revisit a game...remake it....don't remaster it.

Awesome! :D

I'm vomiting rainbows.

My bet with The_Liquid_Laser: I think the Switch won't surpass the PS2 as the best selling system of all time. If it does, I'll play a game of a list that The_Liquid_Laser will provide, I will have to play it for 50 hours or complete it, whatever comes first.

WOW! That's quite an improvement.

It's a remaster, a very good remaster. I don't think we can call this a remake.

Remaster = Using original assets and up grading them

Remake = Game made from the ground up and stays faithful to original (imagine MGS1 on current gen consoles with current gen graphics same story/missions/etc and overhauled gameplay)

Reboot = Complete new direction set within the franchise. Usually going back to the start with change of story and drastic change in gamepley.
