Scalebound: Everything You Need to Know – IGN First

Scalebound, an Xbox One exclusive from renowned action game developer Platinum Games (Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, Vanquish, etc.), was revealed at E3 2014. Absolutely nothing has been seen or heard from it since. That all changes this month with IGN First, where we'll be covering the game in-depth throughout August. Our team went to Platinum in Japan and will be bringing you approximately a dozen exclusive features and videos over the next four weeks.

We'll be kicking things off tomorrow morning at approximately 8am PT/11am ET, or as soon as the Microsoft press briefing ends. At that point, we will post our first piece of IGN First content for Scalebound: an extended gameplay demo that's much longer than the one you'll see during the Xbox briefing. You can also expect:

  • In-depth looks at various Scalebound gameplay systems
  • Behind-the-scenes on how Kamiya-san finally got Scalebound made after years of trying
  • Kamiya-san himself on our IGN Live show direct from Gamescom in Germany on Thursday, August 6 at 6:30am PT/9:30am PT (also available anytime, on-demand, after that time)
  • And much more!

Really curious about this one

I might get disappointed but this game has my hype levels to the max.

Heh, is that why Kamiya was mad? Because he has to go on a live show with IGN? :D

Looking forward to seeing what Platinum can do on next gen hardware, should be good.

I'm pretty excited to see some real footage of Scalebound and learn what it's all about.

@ Goatseye)
putting the Xbox logo onto the flag of the imperial japanese army is ironic on sooo many levels though

So the RE7 rumour was false.

Xbox went Kamikaze on the Japanese market. There is no irony in that.

Looking forward to see more of Scalebound and QB.

This is another really good IGN first that I'm very curious about, good couple months between this and No Man's Sky last month, but this one is even better since we've seen basically nothing on this title.
