Forums - Gaming Discussion - Rise of the Tomb Raider to Fallout 4, We Are Not Scared

I'm sure MS will bundle both RoTR and FO4.

That would just make a killing.

I'm pretty sure TR will be delayed a week or two.

For compete with Battlefront? The point is that:

first week: COD

second week: Fallout

third week: Battlefron

Between the 3, Fallout is the smaller, so is better for Tomb Raider.

because a week later all those guys buying fallout 4 will be done with the game and ready for a new game but certainly couldn't be bothered to buy a game that's a full week old?

i'm sorry but this whole fallout will kill tomb raider thing is silly.   most people will decide which games they are buying this holiday based on their budget and hype for availible games.   release date is such a non-factor, one week won't change a thing.

and imagine if there was somebody that liked a game like tomb raider more than they liked fallout... if only that were possible.

i'll buy TR day 1 on ps4 and wouldn't play fallout if ps+ gave it to me for free.

Tomb Raider 2016 for me. I have an X1 but there is just too much for me to concern myself with it.

As a whole, SE dropped the ball big time. PS4 fans waiting for Uncharted 4 would have jumped on RoTTR to satisfy the itch. MS will gain little from this, but SE will lose a lot of potential sales.

Now I'm just dying to see their reaction after the game's been released.

I think both these games will be great but out of the two I will be getting RoTR day one mainly because I haven't got the time to out into such a massive game along with the rest of the holiday titles, I will save Fallout 4 for the quieter times after the holiday period has passed and enjoy it instead of trying to rush through hundreds of hours game play asap.

I do think there will be quite a few who see it this way like myself but I still think Fallout 4 will outsell it but the sales for RoTR will still be healthy.

Wait, wait, wait... So you mean that it's useless to have too many games releasing in the Holliday season because we can't enjoy all of them fully, and it could be best to release games during other months of the year?

Just to be sure, because it seems that a lot of people disagree with this ;)

Didn't say anything of the like so no idea where you got that from.

They are so different games, and with the exception of forum goers, they mostly don't share the same audience even (source: None, just my thoughts) so I don't really think they should be afraid.

If they were releasing on all 3 platforms, I'd say they would be fine. But they are releasing just on XBO against a friggin' FPS, a genre Xbox owners have shown to greatly prefer.

If TR reviews well and has more of the exploration and puzzles Lara's fans have come to expect then imo a lot of the bitching and moaning about timed exclusivity and release dates will end with a whimper. Even the loudest critics will come around eventually.

Come oonnn. You can order the ddl version and nobody will ever know... You know you want her.

How many actual copies will not be sold for those reasons will forever remain unknown and the kind of gamer who enjoys UC will probably buy TR. Righteous indignation is difficult to maintain for years at a time.

FYI 100% of gamers at my place have bought and paid for both TR and F4. Also SW:BF and H5. But that's it for me. Till Quantum Break anyway. Maybe.
