Can PS4 manage to keep up with Xbox's list of games that MS are focusing only on games, or are we missing something and PS have alot more then we realise.

I think the two words you're looking for there are 'am I'.

The PS5 Exists.

Someone's forgetting these semi-known quantities:

1st party:

  1. Sony Bend's New IP
  2. Sucker Punch has a new game that's already playable
  3. Polyphony Digital has confirmed they'll have GT7 out before 2017
  4. SCEJ has Team Gravity working on a PS4 game
  5. SCEJ also has another team working on a new IP, rumored to be a massive Final Fantasy style RPG.
  6. Santa Monica have been confirmed by Cory Barlog to be making a new God of War for PS4.

2nd Party:

  1. Level-5 have outright stated they have a PS4 exclusive in development and it was meant to be announced at E3, could be done at Gamesom in their own stream or at TGS.
  2. Quantic Dream confirmed they're working on a new exclusive PS4 IP back at the Feb 2013 PS4 announcement event.

If I had to make a guess I'd say that a couple of major japanese games will be announced at TGS in September, probably whatever one of the SCEJ teams are making and Level-5's new game.

If both SCEJ games are ready then they could both be unveiled at TGS, along with Level-5's new game.

Horizon is getting a live playthrough and new details at gamescom, the fact that was Game of the Show at E3 really doesn't mean anything and it won't draw any kind of attention, in spite of it's enormous appeal, right?!!!

Dreams is having a heavy amount of focus at Paris Games Week, seems pretty likely we'll probably see new details and footage from Horizon there too, along with new details on RIGS from Guerrilla Cambridge, pretty likely also that Quantic Dream will unveil their new game there.

Come PSX I think God of War 4, Bend's new IP and GT7 will get unveiled and Sony will be basically playing on the fact they have 2016 in the bag, using all of these games and everything else they already had announced at E3 for 2016 to make people realise that they have all of next year packed with major exclusive content.

Perhaps Sucker Punch's new game will be announced too or it could be left until GDC next year or something in reserve for E3.

Sony doesn't have any of this stuff though, right? LMFAO!!!

There's a lot of interesting posts in here, however none of that really factors in that Sony isn't doing a show for Gamescon. Why is Sony skipping Gamescon for Paris and etc? Why not do a press for both if they have a lot of content? Why do I feel like there skipping Gamescon because they showed everything at E3? MS wont attend Japans show due to obvious reasons and Paris we don't know if MS isn't doing a show there either, they might just have a show but in this case, Gamescon is bigger then Paris so they probably don't need to.

Probably because they want the maximum effect of reveals and announcements, when it comes to PR, and they felt it was too close to E3.

They wouldnt get enough bang for the buck, doing it that early (in their opinion). I think its fair enough, their marketing people probably know what their doing.

Basically patience and pacing, is why they arnt going to do anything huge at gamescon. They dont need to make any announcements this early, their console is selling well without. So their saveing things for rest of the year, to get more effect out of them.

Gamescon = 335,000+ visitors

Paris Games Week = 272,000+ visitors

This year Paris Games Week could be bigger than Gamescon.

Maybe because this year Gamescom is too close to E3 and Sony wants more time to prepare their game's showing? You know, to avoid presenting only CGI trailer like competition? Beside, Sony will be at Gamescom with the biggest space to show their games, so again what are you talking about?

Obviously they want to give MS a chance to shine themselves in Europe, and the better place to do it is none other than Gamescom.

And you think they showed everything? Then I guess you didn't read all those previous replies properly. Sony has tons of ammos waiting to be fired.

If they don't then they won't attend to PGW, TGS, PSX later.....think about it.

I thought its because Sony wanted to keep their other reveals at a later date?

If anything, Sony's just getting warmed up.
