Damn that economy, making bad Sonic games. How dare it have the gall to make such poor games? Someone should really whip the economy into shape and tell it that game quality matters.

Jesus Christ Sega. You were being honest about yourself just recently for the first time in years and now we're seeing more bullshit. The economy my ass. Nintendo just recently posted a profit. How do you explain that. This is one reason I really miss Isao Okawa. That guy was brutally honest about his company no matter how much it hurt.

I guess Sega really does what Nintendon't.

But SEGA is correct in their assessment: In times of economic uncertainty people are less likely to buy crap games with a 30 metacritic rating.
All they need to do is persevere, continue making horrible games and wait for an upswing of global economy.

Its their own fault

I just played Sonic 3 today and remembered what an amazing game it was. In the Mega Drive era Sega had tight game design and fantastic franchises. The Streets of Rage, Golden Axe and Altered Beast series are some of my favourite games of all time!
And now today we see lame release after lame release. Sonic has become a joke of the industry.
I often wish Sega would make a game like Streets of Rage 4, but if they did it would probably be a shiny turd and another franchise ruined. Maybe I'll just stick to retro Sega games on Wii Virtual Console.
