Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Wii U Games: Current and Potential Rarities

Pikmin 3, wonderful 101, bayonetta 2, game and wario, hyrule warriors, and donkey kong. I think you should get all of those, pretty safe bet IMO. Wait until it initially drops in price, then pick it up before it starts going up. I wouldn't recommend warriors orochi 3, it's selling $20 used and probably isn't going to hold up over time.

I think Wii U is gonna be one of those consoles where the games start to rise in price before the successor even comes out. People are really anticipating games going up already.

currently playing: Skyward Sword, Mario Sunshine, Xenoblade Chronicles X

I want to say I'm bummed that I didn't get a physical copy of Pikmin 3...but I know I wouldn't sell it in a million years anyway, so it doesn't really matter.

I really wanted pikmin 3 but i want the retail version as it is better and btw i can find wii party u in one of my stores and it has been sitting down there for sometime at 40 in my currency which converts to $30 us but i am just lazy to get it XD

X w101 bayo 2 hyrule etc

I Hate REMASTERS

I Hate PLAYSTATION PLUS

Wonderful 101 will be worth a pretty penny as well.

Europe is a different market from the US and with some games having translations on the back which will make them more collectable and thus the price will rise.

Wonderful 101 - Still full price and cant be bought at very many locations
Monster Hunter - Same as above
New Super Luigi - Sold out, no where to be seen.
Bayonetta 2 - First Print.. Still availible commonly on Ebay but I am sure it will skyrocket in the future.
Teslagrad - Yup this is retail in Europe.

From strictly a collectors view of games which will be hard to followget by in the future there are a lot of weird games that no one actually bought that will be hard to come by.. Like Barbie, Cabelas Dangers Hunts 2013, Cocota Magic Circus 2 and a lot of games like that.

Every game released in Australia on a Nintendo system lol.

Luigi retailed here for $60AUD now they sell anywhere between 100-130 on the second hand market. Sometimes can pick it up cheaper if seller doesn't do his research.

Probably every single Third Party game that isn't Just Dance, Skylanders or Disney Infinity. All those third party launch titles are very hard to find nowadays.

And like Mbolibombo said, TW 101 is very hard to find in europe and I also agree with the others on the list.

Didn't The US had a physical copy of Duck Tales Remastered? And Nintendo Remix 1+2? Pretty sure these ain't too easy to track down these days.

I got Lego City last year for a little less than retail price, and glad I did as it is rare here.

Also I got Pikmin 3 last week in the mid year Toy Sales for about $25 less than retail. Prior to that sale it was very rare everywhere.

Wonderful 101 is really rare at the moment. I have only seen one used copy at a local EB and thats about it.
