Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Augmented reality horror

I was just thinking about the NX and wondering if it was a VR system but with the powerpc cpu replaced with x86 architecture and the gpu considerably more powerful but with the same wireless controller connection but this time the controller is some basic spec VR glasses with forward facing camera's  so when necessary the VR glasses allow normal vision in plus augmented reality.

So that's the technology but what if lets say a horror game is actually played out in your own home. You wander around your own home wearing these VR glasses and the faces of zombies appear looking in your own windows. You hear sounds of the door locks being tried and zombies break through doors and attack. You hear footsteps upstairs and the lighting is suitably reduced for atmosphere. You look outside to see distant zombies moving around.

This is weak but all I could find on youtube;

That's basically the idea but of course it could be your floor covered in snakes,  eyes looking at your from pictures. Your pet cat suddenly having demonic large teeth and evil red eyes. Blood pouring down the walls etc. You must shoot the zombies in the head, put stakes through vampire's hearts, show crosses to vampires and other stuff.

While VR I think will be huge I think augmented reality will also be a big part of it too.

I thought nintendo hated VR they said it wasnt fun

VR > AR for gaming. But AR > VR for basically everything else.

There's only 2 races: White and 'Political Agenda'
2 Genders: Male and 'Political Agenda'
2 Hairstyles for female characters: Long and 'Political Agenda'
2 Sexualities: Straight and 'Political Agenda'

When did they ever say that?

They've been one of the main pusher's of 3D in gaming from the virtual boy to the 3DS.

I think it was said it wasnt sociable, which seems to be a key feature in nintendo design philosophy.

Im a totally for VR gameing, I think its the next big thing.

Lets just say 2D or 2.5D plat formers have nothing to gain from VR, and that Local co-op mode isnt a strength of VR.

Thats why nintendo dont care about it, they will still be missing out though, because its well suited for so many other game types.

or VR for core gaming such action, or FPS, and AR for casual and family games.

basically this.

VR => boom your inside the game, playing the game in action packed game world. (you dont see anything from your room, just the gameworld)

AR => your sitting on your couch looking down at your coffee table, playing a virtual game of chess/checkers/card game, with your son (who also has a pair of AR glasses).  After you play this game, you both go staire into the wall, to look at a virtual tv screen there, and watch some tv.

VR/AR horror once again. I truly believe this is something people should not mess with. Unfortunately it seems nobody cares two fucks about it right now but I believe we will hear people having mental problems and reports of accidents/seizures/panics because of VR/AR horror. I'll be happy if even one person stops and thinks for a moment before jumping into horror experiences.

I cannot imagine toilet-free life.

Kebabs have a unique attribute compared to other consumables. To unlock this effect you need to wolf down a big ass kebab really fast, like under 10 minutes or so and wait for the effect to kick in. If done correctly your movements should feel unbelievably heavy to the point where you literally cannot move at all.
