Forums - Sony Discussion - Media Molecule's dreams might be the next social gaming revolution, incorporating Morpheus/Shareplay to masses.

Considering the "game" is like a game engine/film creator/art maker in one, this piece could become a crucial factor for social gaming/experiences and would be a really good fit for Project Morpheus aka the God of Dreams.

Imagine the people making movies/games out of these and with a companion app that could enable everyone to experience the creator's work could lead this game to great things that was not possible before within the gaming realm.

With PS4 dominace the possiblities of opening this kind of revolution in gaming where everyone could sharr their experience or take a peek or even play the games/movies in this game is something that could work in this era of social gaming/facebook/twitter etc.

I don't think it's going to get enough mainstream recognition that something like Minecraft had and established. There's always a chance tho

This game will be instantly forgotten after release. Just like Project Spark.

Think of youtube/arcade center you made full of movies and games and sharing it thru PSN and everyone could comment or even play on it etc. It's going to be big if it becomes a social experience.

We can't know that until se see what MM have made with it and what consumers can make with it. All we've seen so far is the animation tool. We've yet to see the logic involved with game creation OR the music generator. I can see user created animations (alone) taking off on Youtube, and given that the music generator is likely to have also received a huge upgrade from LBP, I can see that doing well on Youtube too. That's without taking into consideration the much better quality of games that Dreams is going to allow.

I don't expect Dreams to be a huge game, though I do expect it to be really good.

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

Project Spark just a copy of LBP, though. It did nothing to set it apart. And it was a bad game. Media Molecule is a great developer. They have yet to make a terrible game.

Even a flop game like Tearaway got an incredible reception and still remembered. Can't say the same for Project Spark.
