Forums - Movies & TV - Amazon sign Jeremy Clarkson and co for new car show

I thought this was fake, didnt they sign with netflix after passing on ITV? ether way they're coming back!

Around the Network

A show with Netflix would have been much better.

And as such, their car show passed on to irrelevancy....

That might be a bit hyperbole, but really, they'll reach much smaller audiences on Amazon Prime, at least if Amazon wants to keep it exclusive to Amazon Prime, and not license it to TV channels.

Hopefully it will be successful and get licensed out to TV at some point.

Hopefully the producers of this show will understand that in order to work with Jeremy Clarkson they need to behave like Jeremy's bitches.

Nintendo is selling their IPs to Microsoft and this is true because:

Might use the free month trial and binge watch, or buy on dvd/blu ray (from Amazon of course!). Amazon is lacking in content compared to Netflix, especially films, and there is a serious conflict of interest there as Amazon sell films/tv to rent, as well as physical copies.

The free prime delivery also puts me off, I don't like the world domination route Amazon is taking.

PS, PS2, Gameboy Advance, PS3, PSP, PS4, Xbox One

Well, Amazon doesn't sell cars (yet), so they won't have to worry about car makers pressuring them to get good reviews... or at least to avoid get their cars trashed.

Now the questions are where the show will be filmed, because they had a clause with the BBC that forbids them to make a TV car show in the UK for two years after leaving the channel, be either Ireland, US or somewhere else, and if they'll have a new Stig or whatever the call him (Gits?).

Please excuse my bad English.

They've already confirmed it will be a British based show. It sounds like the clause with the BBC only prevented them from working with other UK companies, but Amazon are US so they can still film it here as long as they distribute it through them.

Yes, you're right, the piece of news where I read it was a bit ambiguous, but the BBC story (ironic, isn't it?) tells it better.

Now they have to find a new track.

Btw, I love Hammond's comment about it:

I think we're going to live in a world where you can only shop for things from Google and Amazon and pretty much have access to every type of thing.

There's only 2 races: White and 'Political Agenda'
2 Genders: Male and 'Political Agenda'
2 Hairstyles for female characters: Long and 'Political Agenda'
