As a Pats fan, I think it'll be anything but a stroll.  Week 4 Bye, and then having to go 12 games before the Post-season leaves a lot of room for problems.  Plus, given last years start, I find it hard to discount every other team in the AFC, just because the Pats are playing well through the first 3 and others are stumbling.

Well I'm happy there are sane Pats fan here. Facebook and Twitter are littered with obnoxious Pats fans claiming a 16-0 season is basically a guarantee. Hey I wouldn't mind another perfect season if it ended with the Giants winning in the superbowl again XP. But seriously though you basically stated all the big factors going agaisnt the Pats. A much stronger divison (Minus the dolphins), a brutal week 4 bye and the fact that a few AFC teams seem to have the goods if they can get all thier components working right (Broncos, Steelers, Bengals) to be tough opponents. The NFL is so volatile you just never know what is going to happen.

Personally, I don't even want them trying for 16-0 unless it's coming down to fighting another team for homefield throughough the playoffs.  Otherwise, let Garropolo start a game or two and sit as many integral components as you possibly can.  No need to risk anything, though I can completely understand the RevengeTour from Brady's perspective.  He doesn't get to choose though, BB does.

The East is definitely more competitive (for 2nd), but, it's still pretty much light-years behind the Pats.  Buffalo only got close because the Pats got greedy, imo.  One would think their Defense would've absolutely faired much better against an O-line featuring 3 1st year rookies, including the UDFA C David Andrews.  That's...just what?  lol.  Plus, they really don't have a QB they can rely on, neither does Miami or the Jets, really.  So, I'm not really concerned about the East this year (though, they have improved some).  Broncos D is certainly imposing, and the Bengals may eventually show some life in the post-season (remains to be seen).  Steelers...no idea, it may be too late for them by the time Ben comes back, and even then this assumes Ben is 100% recovered at that point, however, if he does come back and they're still in it.  They were what...2nd in scoring last year?  They can put up numbers, fo sho.

My one desire this year, is to see Roger Goodell have to give Robert Kraft the Lombardi trophy...that would just tickle me pink.

How so?  People can't still believe that Goodell's just the pinnacle of integrity after all this, and the previous cases he's managed to fuck up royally.  I mean, I know your average person is an idiot, but...that much of an idiot?

Alright let's go

I love how the big lesson after the Patriots won the Super Bowl last year was "never write off anyone early in the season," and we've all now proceeded to write off everyone but the Patriots in the AFC.

Still early, guys. There's plenty of time for other teams to get it together and pose a reasonable challenge to NE.

Admittedly everyone is an exaggeration, but a large number of people, if nothing else.

I agree your defense still has to be respectable, but I think your tables show that defense is no longer the deciding factor that it used to be. So unless the wheelchair gets vacated...

Brock does seem like he would fit better in Kubiak's offense. They are giving him more practice time in case Peyton fails. He is a fast runner and can actually throw some bombs. Still 3-0 is good enough for me. Especially as the next three games for the Broncos look to be easier than the first 3.

Fair enough, just wanted to emphasize that it's not everyone :)
