Thank you for posting that.  I'm not watching the game.  What did they think would happen?

I assume they were aiming for an offsides. Especially since the formation wasn't even legal...

Yay, everyone won the night game.

Except freedom, justice, America, and Dolphantendo.

Disappointed that I only got 32 points out of Brady. I was hoping for something more bloodthirsty.

On a side note, the MVP of my team not named Tom would have to be the Bronco's defense. They've been killing it. They're not just stopping people, they're doing it with big plays in key moments.

I dunno, man. I think everyone who got to see that fake punt attempt (that honestly may be too charitable a word) is a winner.

And since justice is blind, freedom is fleeting, America is dead, and Dolphantendo is...an aquatic mammal?...that effectively means everyone is a winner!

The only reason the Colts versus Patriots game was even somewhat close is because of Brady's pick six otherwise it would have been close to a blowout. Also as I said last week the Panthers are legit, they might not have receiving core but they have the second best tight end in the league in Greg Olson and the defense is pretty good the only team in the NFC that is better right now are the Packers.

Papa Johns here is darn good. Never tried it anywhere else. Pizza quality like any other food depends on the store you use. Dominos here is garbage. Dominos in Denver was the best major chain pizza I have ever had.

Little Caesars has to be the worst major chain pizza there is.

I think Joe Flacco has given up. He just flung the most careless "fuck it" deep ball in have ever seen with no one anywhere near it and it was picked off. Maybe the pressure of that trillion dollar contract is getting to him.

I mean for $5 a pizza they are pretty good they only do basic pizza anyway if you want something fancy from a major chain you have to go to Pizza Hut, Dominios or Papa Johns.  As far as cheap food goes Little Ceasars is pretty good the only thing that is a better value for the money is probably CiCi's Pizza pizza bufet which is slightly more then $5 for all you can eat without a drink.

As for that special teams play by the Colts, they were doing it wrong. Obviously.

The way this has to be done is not to move the linemen to the outside, but snap the ball to the side instead of back between the legs. Jeff Fisher's Titans pulled off such a stunt successfully, unless I am remembering wrong. In any case though, the ball has to be snapped to the side to the lone guy who stands out there anyway during a normal punt formation. All it takes at that moment is that the lone guy of the return team who is lined up out there gets caught by surprise, so the "kicking" team can run the ball a few yards down the field.

The play the Colts were trying to run is called the Swinging Gate.  There are multiple variations.

The only special teams failure I can think of that comes close to the crap the Colts tried last night was the fake field goal the Redskins tried with Jim Zorn.

Video doesn't show it but the Giants had called a time out the first time the Skins swung their players out in this formation, and the Skins actually tried it again after the time out. At least that one had some receivers to throw to. Trying to run it with one blocker versus 3 or 4 defenders is easily much much worse.

Have they explained what the plan was? Maybe they were trying to get NE to burn a time out or jump offsides. No way they thought NE would only line one guy up on the ball.
