It's a separate contest that got added to the mix last year. Since it's separate, it's not required to do it. The deadline for these bracket predictions is the kickoff of the season opening game, a template can be found in the third post of this thread.

wow thanks for the cordial response, I was expecting insults. I'll take a look at the post and make one if I have the time. I've joined a fantasy league for the first time ever this year so my hands will be full between that and this.

For clarification, the second story is about Mike Shanahan's recent statements, although they aren't too different from Kyle's. Regardless, there seems to be too much confidence in Redskins QBs.

On a sidenote, there was also an article about Tim Tebow being the most popular fourth string QB in the league.

The best quarterback in the NFL went down witha  shoulder injury and a concussion. Is the dream already dead!?!

So seriously; wouldn't this thread be 10 pages longer by now if it was Jay Cutler that said that he thought that he was the best QB in the NFL?

You guys let RG3 off of the hook to easily. The guy was the number one pick in the entire draft a few years ago and straight up sucks. I'd take Ryan Fitzpatrick over him.

Number two actually, Luck was one...

besides, he plays for the Redskins... He might as well not exist...

Ah... sorry about that.  Didn't realize that they were drafted the same year.

Have the 'Skins really fallen that far out of the public consciousness?  Are they really becoming the Raiders of the NFC?

If by that you mean "archaic limping punchline which only enters the public eye when they do or say something really stupid", then no, but only because they're based on the East Coast and therefore also enter the public eye when they do or say something quite stupid as well.

I think you're vastly underestimating how apathetic this thread is. Our biggest Deflategate discussion was like 5 comments after the Super Bowl. We just don't care enough to get upset over stuff like this, especially when it comes from the Redskins.

So what do you guys think of Eli Manning possibly becoming the NFL's highest paid quarterback?

At first I thought it was ludicrous, but after reading up about it, it kind of makes sense. The Giants basically have two options. 1.) Franchise tag him for the year and pay him 23 million up front or 2.) Give him a contract similar to Rivers and Big Ben that would guarantee him around 21 to 22 million yearly. Either way he's getting paid if not the most then around the top of current QB salaries.

I think it's disgusting, but I also think he has the Giants over a barrel. Since turnabout is fair play, and since not a penny of it is or ever was my cash, I say Get That Money Yo!

Well the Packers are fucked. Rol are we still allowed to change our picks?
