That should be the dagger.

The Saints are playing like the 5-0 team tonight, and the Falcs are playing like a 1-4 team.

Voodoo NFL 2015 continues :D

That would only be funny if I had picked the Saints. But those suckers have disappointed me so often in 2014 and 2015 that there was no way that I would bring myself to pick them in this game.

Hell I didn't pick them either. I imagine only hopelessly drunk people did. So I can't be upset, it's just a damned strange season.

Saints were picked by DolPhanTendo, Kenology, LudicrousSpeed and Zelhawks37. Your assumption is correct.

Well that was appropriate!

No one at the top of the current standings picked the saints (common sense) so whatever I´ll take the L

Told ya.

Seriously though, the Saints were rubbish in the first half, aside from their first drive, and the only thing that could stop the Falcons were fumbles. If it hadn't been for the blocked punt, it would have been 7-7 at halftime. Despite 7-14, it looked like it would only be a matter of time until the Falcons take control.

But then in the second half the Saints were a wholly different team. The offense marched down the field time and time again while the defense stopped the Falcons fast. Luck in the first half, but skill in the second. The Saints earned that win.

Next week they'll probably be complete crap again. Or maybe not. They are one of the unpredictable teams because they have such a huge swing in performance.

Even without the blocked punt the Saints were driving somewhat steadily, they legitimately earned all their turnovers, and they were one dropped pass away from reaching the Falcons' 15 with about two minutes left. They were in control from start to finish this game - somehow - so I'll give credit where it's due.

That said, even the worst team gets a win once in a while, unless they're being "led" by Matthew Stafford. I, too, don't expect this to happen again for a while. Unless it does. Because screw this season.

I'm glad the Falcons lost.

Did we watch the same game? I think the Falcons gained 100 yards more than the Saints in the first half, so subsequently more first downs as well. Yes, the Saints had that drive that ended with a missed field goal, but between that one and the first one of the game, all drives quickly ended in punts. Meanwhile, the only Falcons drive that ended in their own half was the one that led to the blocked punt. As for the turnovers, the Saints certainly didn't earn the one where the Falcons center snapped the ball against his butt.

Saying all but two of their first half possessions quickly ended in punts is both wrong and misleading. Their first half possessions, in order, were: 80 yards for a TD, 3 and out, 30+ yards into Falcons territory then a sack and punt, 3 and out, 50 yards with a dropped long pass and a missed field goal. 2/5 of their possessions were quick punts, the other three saw steady progress and ate clock. More importantly, they did not end in turnovers in the red zone, which means they were better than what their competitors offered.

I'll concede the center's fumble though. Looking at the replay, the Saints didn't get as much pressure as I remembered. Still, points to them for reaching the ball so quickly.

You know what they say about when you assume!  Got to love people who think Brees is done SMH. Dude has lost number one target and now I think he has found one in Snead good job though
