To which I will reply "Yay, moar points for noname!"
I call this scenario "noname wins no matter what." It is a...depressingly rare scenario.

NFL weirdness again. The Saints have some talented players and coaches. It's just weird that they played like madmen against the Cowboys, completely laid down against the Eagles, and now are playing out of their minds against the Falcons.
The Falcons have been fairly good if a bit overrated this year so far, but they seem to at least be the same team every week.
I can think of at least a half dozen other jekyll and hyde teams out there. The Rams come to mind.
Why couldn't the Saints play like this last week?!
Survivor Millennial vs Gen X!!
That should be the dagger.
The Saints are playing like the 5-0 team tonight, and the Falcs are playing like a 1-4 team.

RolStoppable said: Related, the 24-7 scoreline reminds me of the Bengals game last Sunday which was on TV over here. I said it on previous occasions, the German commentators aren't the sharpest tools in the shed. So when the Bengals scored a touchdown to make it 24-13, one of the commentators asked the other (the supposed expert) if the Bengals will go for a two point conversion. The "expert" answered: "Yes, they pretty much have to. Everything else doesn't really make sense when they were down 17 points." Then he tried to explain his math and threw several numbers out, but none of it made sense for obvious reasons. Man, that was fun. |
Am I misremembering, or didn't they once say a team who was down one score with two minutes left had to get a first down in three tries, or else they have to punt?
