I ended up picking Bianca both times I played the game. I almost went with Nera before, but considered that magic usually isn't very well balanced in the DQ games. As for Debra, I may go with her next time I play for the comedic value.

Yeah I picked her too XD I couldn't bring myself to not marry her. Debra is the mean one, right? I might choose her as well next go around

Yeah Im hyped AF for XI. Main reason Ive never played one as probably its lack of popularity in the west. Ive gamed my whole life but growing up all the way until 2011 I just played games that my bro/family bought. I didnt know what new games were releasing and whatnot. Ive thought about going back and playing 8, probably the only one I'd like as Im  ot a fan of NES/SNES era JRPGs. Maybe DQVII would be alright but thats on 3DS now in Japan and IX is also a handheld game and Im not big on handhelds anymore.

Dragon Quest V for me. Granted, the only other title I've played was IV, but I was a little bored with that one by the time I finished. V did a good job of keeping me entertained throughout. I have VI now, so I'm looking forward to trying it out soon!

I'm definitely going to have to jump in with the no-doubt-winning DQVIII crowd.

But I have some very high hopes for DQXI on PS4! It's really nice to see DQ with such beautiful visuals.

DQVII (not a typo; I really am talking about VII in this line) is a good game with some flaws, so I am very hopeful for the 3DS remake that is supposed to have considerably improved it.

Never played one, but I hope DQ VIII and DQ XI (both PS4 and 3DS) get localized here because those are the ones I would buy.

Just based on the ones that I have played. 5 was just such a great tale. I also loved the monster taming it started. They're all great games, and I think the series is really underrated. 

I do feel like most people will choose 8 since it's probably the one played by the largest amount of people here

Dragon Quest 4 and 5. Those are definitely the best ones. I have yet to play VII, VIII and IX though so my opinion might change.
