Forums - Politics Discussion - Dave Cameron is to give porn websites one last chance to produce an effective voluntary scheme for age-restricted controls on their sites or he will introduce legislation that could see them shut down

So basically he's telling them that they will be shutdown, because there's no way to do that.

The UK goes overboard with censorship in certain things (not to say the U.S doesn't go overboard in others.) Seeing pornography as a teenager isn't going to hurt you.

its just a ploy to get tighter control over the internet with pornography being used as the scapegoat

"oh but you must think of the children so give me more control over how you access content"

Of course there's a way to do that. Have you never seen that 'Are you over 18? Yes or no?' question before? Or what about the ones that they use on some game videos, I know Steam does it, where they ask you to put in your date of birth as proof of age?

Don't most porn sites already have these "Are you over 18?" popups?

Let me get this straight, you can have sex at 16... but can't watch porn until 18?

So if a 16 year old is having sex.. do they have a close their eyes?

Law = Logic.
