Forums - Gaming Discussion - It's the first time that there is no hype for Gamescom

Gamescom 2015 starts in 4 days and there is no hype for it. Usually people talk about Gamescom months before Gamescom starts. This year nobody is talking about it. Why is this year so different? I can say from my side that the only big reason to visit/watch Gamescom is Playstation and without a Playstation conference this year there is no reason to visit/watch Gamescom. But what about the all the other fans? Why aren't they hyped?

Maybe because there is no Sony or Nintendo and Xbox supporters are silent as usual.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

No SONY and Nintendo no hypes .

Xbox fans will be hyped, the others not so much.

I've never really even heard of Gamescom...

I bet the Wii U would sell more than 15M LTD by the end of 2015. He bet it would sell less. I lost.

No Sony, no interest.
Europe has already shown it has very little interest in XBox, and there is no real hype for their games anyway - a medley of games announced over a year ago mixed in with some FIFA Ultimate Team news.

Paris is the place to be this year!

Sony isn't going to have a big presence and Nintendo fans don't really have much to be excited about right now. So it's just MS fans really, and they do seem pretty hyped (rightfully so), but it's 1 out of 3 fanbases.

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

There is plenty of hype. Just not for Sony fans.

Can't wait for Paris Games Week, I'm super excited to see more from Dreams.

Weird... I swear I just saw the Xbox thread with gamescom in the title... I must be mistaken...
