Are you just looking for people to say how wonderful it is? If this was on Sony's platform I think some users would say it's great, but I think most would be honest and go... it dont look all that. Some people on the other side just seem to want to play the victim, and even if the game wont appeal to the masses, blame the "Sony" fanboys.. Ultimately sales will determine if it's ultimately what people want or not, personally I dont think it will do that well.

To be fair the image that's uploaded just looks like a reskinned AC Black Flag, but without the detail.

Until I hear more details I'll reserve judgement, but if there's not single player to me thats another nail in the coffin so to say.

Everthing is not for everybody so understand that some people will not like what they see. Sales dont mean anything when it comes to games. I dont and will never will care how much something sales because it does not do anything for my gaming experiece that I get when I turn on my console.   If a game is good then its good regardless of how much it sales. I think I saw a topic about Bayanetta 2 not selling that well but the game was one of the best released last year so if I owned a Wii U I would buy that game in a heart beat. People on this site are too into sales and have forgot what its like to just be a gamer..

Because VGChartz is a sales site that talks about sales. :)

OF course sales dont determine what a good or bad game is, but that's how most people are defining success, how else can we do it, metacritic? You know some people loved The Order (I thought it had some potential but massive issues)... there will always be a range. 

I know someone working on it, and they think it's ace...But i also know someone who used to work for Rare and thinks it is not a great concept... people will have differing opinions. So yeah I agree in part.

Personally I dont even know what it is right now, but for me it does look too much like a MP version of Black Flag, but without the grime that I as someone who loves history would want. But thats just what I think... if you think it's awsome, thats great I have no problem with that.

No need to be a drama queen.  Most of the comments aren't even critical of the game, they're just pointing out that PR is PR or that any new Rare game has a lot to prove before it will be regarded as better than their past efforts.

As for the comments being different if this were a Sony game, I kind of doubt that.  I mean, if it were developed by Naughty Dog and a Sony executive said it's going to be the best game Naught Dog has ever made, I promise you that the comments would be slammed with doubters and a LOT of disappointment.

I don't understand why those in marketing, or the corporate VP for crying out loud, talk so big about their game that it's nearly impossible to follow up without disappointment. Funny example, we're coming up on the one year anniversary of Remedy saying that the Quantum Break demo would "blow your mind".

Focus on the strong points or spin how this is a new direction for Rareware. I can't even remember the last time Rare made a multiplayer focused game that wasn't Kinect. Sea of Theaves got a good reception, use it to your advantage...

Just wait for Crackdown, scalebound, or Quantum Break articles.  You will see what I mean.  

Hugely disappointed when I saw Sea of Thieves...Doesn't look good at all.

Sharpryno did mention Scalebound though, which I am genuinely excited to see more of.

Out of those the only one that is of interest to me is Quantum Break. 

But this is a discussion forum, and even the best games that are ever made get detractors... so dont worry about it. The big problem at the moment for Sony and MS is that the games they are making are not the best that could be made (with the exception of ND and a few small others). So of course they will get detractors. Just wait until Until Dawn comes out... that will get a lot of slating... it's no different..

I doubt it's gonna be better than Perfect Dark, which has a metacritic of 97.
