Windows 10 just came out and it has been downloaded 14 million times in its first 24 hours, thats not bad considering its not available world wide yet. I am still waiting for my notification.

Those of you who have it,  what are your thoughts on Windows 10?

No problems at all yet. The perfect successor to Windows 7+8.1. Xbox integration is crazy accurate and precise. MS Edge is so good it made me stop using Chrome. But I do need to explore the features more.

Makes me really happy they had a beta for it.

Amazing OS, even though I liked 8.1 as well. I use it on my low end tablet and it actually works better than 8.1 and that worked great.

I want my notification to arrive. :(

So, what's so good about it? All I keep hearing is that it's more of the same.

You don't need to wait for your notification.

Did that just now and I'm currently downloading.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

Xbox streaming works like crap for me. Sound & image jutters and then it just gives up altogether.
But it is a great OS overall, beautiful and with some great features like cortana.

About as you'd expect, maybe slightly lower. But here so far, no problems at all. Very slick and modern!

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

It starts up faster than W7 and drains less resources. It has XBox streaming capabilities. Compared to W8.1, it actually merges touch and keyboard interfaces in a way that works really great. It also has Cortana (sadly not for us in Sweden yet) and one of the best browsers I have ever tried.

Do I need to backup my files before installing it or all my files will remain where they are?
