And how ok would you be with Square releasing straight continuations to the FFVII Remake game?

Square has expanded the FFVII story with with works that include Advent Children, Dirge of Cerberus, and Crisis Core, so maybe there is already content to serve as videogame adaptations for straight sequels.

Square has made precendents in releasing stright sequels to their Final Fantasy games as has been the case with FFX-2, the sequels to FFXII and the likeliness of sequels to FFXV:

After getting our hopes up with a remixed Frog's theme in their E3 trailer they should have something Chrono planned! Or give the remake treatment to the other 2 PS1 (better) Final Fantasy games.

No. The only games they can milk out of FF7 would be remakes of the those other spinoffs. A remake of Crisis Core, Dirge, etc.

The only way to bring a definitive conclusion to FFVII may be allowing the planet to break into pieces at the end.

I don't think they will, all the people (especially the original players) are satisfied with this remake, but I do think it could be the start of SE remaking some other IPs, I just can't believe I've got to watch that moment with Aeris in glorious 1080p PS4 remade visuals! I don't know if I can do it.
