Except the Gamecube had Japanese support. Xbox doesn't sell hardly at all in an entire region that Nintendo does well in.
This time around, you're comparing something that already has more than 50% marketshare to a machine that has no presence in Japan and minimal presence in PAL territories.

The US will go green this holiday but the World Wide situation will remain blue.

The way I see this is simple : PS4 stays $399 = X1 ties PS4 for 2015 US Sales PS4 goes to $349 = PS4 moderately wins total 2015 US Sales PS4 goes to $299 = PS4 murderbaths the X1 in total 2015 US Sales |
If thats the case for 2015 so far then I'd change my opinion. Anything below 500k is doable but much more then that will be difficult without sony being completely idle during the holiday with bundles, deals and marketing

This.

I expect that sony will have a temporary price cut for the holidays. I believe that with some bundles will allow the PS4 to outsell or at very least match the xbox one's sales in the holidays.
It's possible in the USA, but not worldwide.
Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won
The Xbox and Gamecube weren't all that far apart, though...

This is only NPD, USA. Japan support? We talk about US... The GC has won thanks a massive pricedrop and Mario Kart.
Is this another one of those globally in the US threads? Because theres no chance that the X1 will beat the PS4 on the holidays in Europe.
