Now I know you're trolling. King K.Rool is overrated. At least people care about the Fire Emblem characters. When was the last time anyone wanted King K.Rool in a new Donkey Kong game?


K rool is overrated??  No one even cared or knew who FE was before smash bros, and this even includes the Japanese Audience.  Why they are wasting smash slots on these undesired characters is beyond me.

Ugh, Sakurai addressed this once before and wont say it again. Characters like Lucina and Dark Pit dont take nearly the amount of development time like King K Rool since they are clones. It would have no made it a difference if they were alts or their own character because there is no "set" number of slots. So having clones like Lucina didnt change the chances of Rool ever being in the game


You people really believe that PR stuff that head devs give out to the press so they won't get flamed for their bad decisions?  Of course there are a set amount of slots, they just didn't have the man power, creativity or time to produce 3 more original characters so they used the clones to buff the rooster.  It's the same thing like Microsoft when the XB1 was annouced and how they made up reasons for the press to justify why the system was designed with poor decisions like "always online" and "no game sharing"
