Los Santos is like 5x bigger than Liberty City lol.

That's San Andreas you're talking about, I'm just counting cities here, not entire states.

Driver SF was pretty big, LA Noir as well at 8 sq miles (4 times Los Santos in GTA V)

As comparison here's Los Santos (city)

LA Noir was huge.

That map of Los Santos is from GTA: SA, not GTA V. GTA V's Los Santos is WAY bigger, though I'm not sure its biger than LA in LA Noire.

What about LC in GTA IV or Rome in AC: B?

Real World Racing, The Last Guy, both use satellite imagery of real world cities, so pick the biggest city and there you go.

You're right, I was just playing GTA 5 and that's a lot bigger, still not as big as LA Noire though.
Here's a correct comparison

Looks like GTA 5 exceeds it in total area, yet LA Noire is all city

I don't agree with your accuracy of scaling these images. For one thing I'm sure that LC in GTA IV is a lot bigger than LS in GTA: SA, not just a little big bigger. And then you have Alderney also in GTA IV's map. I can also prove it here - you can clearly see the roads marked on GTA: SA while they are barely visible in GTA IV's map which suggests that GTA IV's map is zoomed out compared to GTA: SA.

I didn't scale them, but it seems to be the general consensus on the gta forums, many more pics show the same comparison between GTA 4 and SA

GTA 4 was a more densely packed city though.

In terms of an entirely generated city...LA Noire will be tough to top. Though size isn't always a good thing and it's more the content present than the actual scope itself which is more important. LA Noire was a truly magical game (for me) but far too much of the city wasn't utilized.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

HK from sleeping dogs I think. It's all city, no countryside, and there are three areas.

PS, PS2, Gameboy Advance, PS3, PSP, PS4, Xbox One

Kakariko Village, The Legend of Zelda: OoT

add me, the more the merrier.

GTA 4 was a more densely packed city though.

So what I get from this pic is that the Broker/Dukes island itself is nearly 4/5th as big as Los Santos besides obviously being a lot more dense. That's some interesting stuff. Thanks for these pics!
