The online Nintendo store will shortly offer a new subscription box service, MCV understands.

The ’N-Box’ will feature toys, clothes and other merchandise inspired by and branded with Nintendo icons such as Mario, Zelda and Pokémon.

The boxes are expected to be available individually, with gamers also able to subscribe to a three-, six- or 12-month plan.

It looks set to be the next in an ever-expanding range of subscription box services, such as American service Loot Crate – which has itself offered an Amiibo-specific box in the past.

The service is also similar to Zavvi’s Z-Box offering, which features a range of geek merchandise, such as T-shirts, Pop Vinyl toys and themed postcards.

Zavvi is owned by The Hut Group, which also operates Nintendo’s official online store.

A Nintendo-specific Z-Box is also set to launch in September.

Nintendo was not able to comment on the story.

Could be a good money maker if true

Is this gonna replace the club Nintendo? I hope it will be available in sweden then. Also i think Nintendo should have like some sort of membership so big Nintendo fans can get some discounts or something if you buy alot of Nintendo stuff (games,amiibo etc)

No, this is just a subscription service that gives u a box of merchandise monthly for something like $20/month.

the new gaming rewards program is supposed to release sometime this fall and Iwata previously mentioned that things like discounts on software based on how often u purchase games and a referral program where u get discounts when people purchase games u refer to them are some potential features the program will offer.

I really hope this gets announced for more than just the UK. Also, I hope Nintendo doesn't overprice this either. Is there any price confirmation yet?
