Forums - Gaming Discussion - Kamiya is Pissed Off at Microsoft- “Are they f****** with me?”

The man is the Jenifer Lawrence of the gaming industry, he just speaks whatever is on his mind, not caring who or what he offends/insults, and people love him for it and find it entertaining and refreshing...

Indeed Alexk-San. Not many people appreciate Kaiyama's remarks, and some of them are unjust, but for the most part in terms of his relations with publishers, he is one of the few devs. that will actually criticize the treatment they are given. Seldom anymore do devs. speak out against mistreatment upon their publishers.

Oh, I bet plenty of devs have disgreements with their publishers, it's just that instead of bitching about it on Twitter, they resolve it internally.

That may be true Teeqoz-San, but I still do believe that developers should voice their frustrations so that not only the publishers that are helping them assist the issues at hand, but for the gamers to know what unjust actions the publishers utilize and let them know that such treatment should not be tolerated.

The only company he doesn't seem to have an issue with is Nintendo. That could be good news for us Nintendo users.

I think he spoke about the small marketing to TW101.

Probably. But he's very happy with Nintendo regarding Bayonetta 2. So things probably went more uphill.

That guy's an ass.

I love Kamiya for saying whatever the fuck he feels like or is on his mind, there needs to be more of that not only in the gaming industry but just in life in general.

It seems like he's not mad about the marketing of the game but more mad at how it's apparently being marketed because he thinks they're making it look generic. I don't really see how though considering all we have so far of the game is still the trailer from E3, but Gamescom should tell us more.

Plus the guy at the end deserved to get destroyed like that because of how he tried to take a cheap shot at both Microsoft and Kamiya's game. "Microsoft fucked up like always. Game could be in serious trouble", and then he got rekt by Kamiya.

They chose a system where their title is sent out to die on. It's their fault, no reason to blame Microsoft.

Eastern support for the system is looking bleak.

If he dislikes the way Microsoft is presenting his game, then I can hardly see why he's discussing the issue rather immaturely on twitter and not with them.

Who's to say he hasn't already? This might be his reaction to having his ideas or opinions on the marketing being ignored. Would explain the "prop" statement a bit. "I make a game, I stand there on stage & bow during it's presentation, and the the owners proceed to market it like a western title." All speculation, of course, just how my brain interpreted this outburst.

Kamiya just better shut up and do what Microsoft wants him to do. They're signing his paycheck. He can't afford bad pr or else no one wants to do deals with him ever again.
