It best be at least on part with an Xbox One. No more of this adding a bit more power and hoping people buy into the gimmick. A system only a bit better than a Wii U with another tablet that takes games everywhere won't do anything for me.

I'm thinking the Wii U will be in the same general field as the PS4 and X1. On one hand, Nintendo themselves are not very hungry for powerful hardware, as shown by their struggles with HD development, and it is unlikely that third parties would support the console no what its specifications are. On the other hand, even if it is released in 2016, it will likely be notably more powerful than the Wii U, simply due to the falling costs of many components and R&D. The "two Wii U consoles taped together" idea would be as weak as I find likely.

I would hope it's a little better than the PS4.
