Better to ask this before the console is revealed (though it seems that Nintendo consoles tend to take some sweet time before fans get down all the console specifications, so maybe no rush but anyways).

There's just so little on exactly what the nx IS... I would hope it at least matches/comes close to matching the PS4 so as to be easier for 3rd party Devs, but they're too late to the race in that instance without some as of yet unrevealed hook.

I'm thinking a little better. At least if Nintendo had a lick of sense about them, they would be doing this. This would give Nintendo a 4 year window of being the most powerful console and if they have the x86 architecture, they would have no excuse to not have 3rd party support.
