yes, the game would still be running on the PC, not your XB1.

I have my PC right next to my Xbox so if I want to play PC games on the telly I just hook up the HDMI cable and plug in the XB1 controller. Would be good to stream over Wi-Fi though so I could take it downstairs and also make use of game DVR and screenshots etc with voice commands. If they could integrate XBL somehow that would be neat. A dream would be XBL and Steam integration but that obviously won't happen. Being able to see Steam game invites pop up on XBL = perfection. |
why just not plug in your PC to the TV and play on your PC? why add the extra lag by streaming it to your XB1?

I don't like to bring my PC into the same room as my TV. The PC needs to stay in its own private space, where it can be set up in an optimal masturbation setting. Masturbating in front of a TV is just creepy. As for gaming, it looks cooler when you game off a console or it appears you are in this case. Gaming in front of a PC or having your PC right beside your TV is just too geeky.

So Xboners can play SFV. He said he was making up for it Also depending on how they want to deal with steam, this could get interesting. Either they compete with Steam Machine or enable Steam streaming. |
finally cross-play for XB & PS players...

1). Adding functionality that Steam and nVidia are already doing.
2). Giving you more gaming options on your X1 on your living room TV.. (no moving your PC, or buying another one for the PC)
3). Just because you wont use it, doesn't mean there arent many of us who do see the point, and do want it.. whats wrong with adding features?

Predictions on 12/01/15 - Generation 8 Totals:
PS4: 85-95m
X1: 55-65m
WiiU: 20-30m
Unless they simply add an RDP client to the XB1 -- i don't see this working for steam games/ blizzard games/ any game actually worth playing on PC.
WITH RDP, I could see this being somewhat useful if it simply passes all input (meaning your controller/mouse/keyboard needs to be compatible with the xb1) to the PC. The problem is ... how in gods name do they make a convenient game only RDP mode. How does windows 10 know that you are specifically in a game and not a full screen application? I'm forseeing major piracy concerns (cause PC).

Ah, okay. But is this a big selling point and is it worth MS's time and effort? Spencer said it's a challenging thing to do.
