Nintendo has ship 2.66 million 3DS in The firsts half of 2015, compared to the 1.41 million of 2014.

For be even more correct:

Jan to March: 1.65m VS 590k

Apr to June: 1.01m VS 820k

That's of course thanks the new version, but still, is incredible for a 5 years old console...

As i daid in The OP, of course The New 3DS is The main reason, but for a 5 Years old console 90% increase is MASSIVE.

Just for say, last year 3DS has ship 2.68 Million IN 9 MONTH. In 2015, 3DS is at 2.66 Million shipped in only six month.

I expect 3DS to ne down YOY This quarter ( Jul to Sep ) because last year 3DS got Yokay Watch 2 and Smash Bros, but will be still up YOY and by a decent margin for The firsts 9 months of The year.

That's a really nice bump. Hope it continues, but I'm doubting it will looking at the holiday lineup.

Yep. There are also Animal Crossing and Pokemon spinoffs, so those could help.

I'm just hoping Yokai Watch pulls something out of its hat. Maybe the cross-promotion will have a similar effect as it did in Japan.

Is true that make a good boost for The firsts month of this year, but is also true has cannibalize The sales for The all month of 2014 since The annunced. That's a important fact, at least in US and EU, in Jp is another story, indeed nobody believe 3DS will be YOY in Japan...

Will be iteresting to see where it'llend up after the whole year. It was about 25% up this quarter, and I suspect it'll be even less up next quarter, and that it might be down in the holiday quarter.

Will end up perhaps 35% up?
