Why are they so positive? Only the framerate and resolution changed. One of the worst remasters I've ever seen (not saying the game is bad though).

I have more issue with the value proposition than the minimal upgrade the game got.  I would rather have at least GOW ascencion with it to at least consider it at full price.

I nearly got it yesterday, but it's not having the other games on PS4 that stopped me... would rather have had a GOW collection... :/ - for me it's just not enough for me to get it.... perhaps one it's dropped in price. I hope they change their minds and try and get the rest of the games across. I think Sony should do a collection of all their important games, I would certainly update.

At the moment I am hoping Sega do a Yakuza collection, but am not hopeful. :(

If you haven't played it be sure to get it, the game is awesome, the definition of epic.

If you already played it wait some more to get it cheaper.

Yeah I already own it on PS3... in fact I had never played any GOW games until I got a PS3, then got them all... I'll wait until it goes cheaper, but it's a shame, I am a bit of a collector and having all of them on PS4 would have been nicer :)

God Of War III remastered is way better upgrade than people might have been giving it credit for.

Compared to other remasters from last gen, not even close.  But it does not matter at all, only to the console guys who like to argue.

Its not really full price though. Its $40 though I agree its not as good of a deal as Sony's previous collections (excluding TLOU R).

What? How is taht true? For one thing many of last gen's remasters were also just resolution and framerate upgrade. And it matters to everyone who has to make a decision between buying a PS3 or PS4, as well as to me as I played it 5 years ago on PS3 and don't have my PS3 anymore.

I see no reason at all to re-buy this game. GoWIII on PS3 is fine as is. It seems like a bit of an orphan remaster. People new to PS4 are not going to have any interest unless they are of the PS2-->360 or Wii --> PS4 crowd, and they played GoW I and II on PS2. There are probably a few of those people, but not that many. I expect people will appreciate the game if they buy it, but I don't expect many people to buy it.

But but ! Where's my cinematic experience @ 30 fps that I'm supposed to be fine with ?

This is why, imo, BC was not added. I think MS did the same thing as well, but the marketshare changed their minds.

I'll never buy it just because they never called it God of War Threemastered.

#1 Amb-ass-ador

but lately many people were expecting a Remastered game should be a Remake with a low price tag like Halo:MCC and upcoming Gears:UE quality or else it will not worth it...

thanks to MS...
