This article goes on about how Mayweather is a wuss, took a opponent that he has a better chance with, will be Mayweather's final fight, how other fighters are disappointed, how the boxing world is hating on Mayweather.  That's the spin of this article.   Oh yeah, and that his next opponent is no threat to Mayweather and is serving as a jobber. 

Yet, here it is, there's a chance at a Rocky story in the real world.  Here he is, presented as the man that cannot be defeated, and his next opponent is this nothing boxer with a bad record.  And mind you, I'm not crazy enough into thinking this could be some grand Cinderella movie, but it could be.  It's not going to happen, but it could.  My biggest beef with this article is that it takes no account for his opponent.  This spin is so vain.  Invert that and you get a story that the media could dubbed the final one that took out Mayweather. 

Rocky comparison.  Drago is working out in that crazy future ice bath machine, while Rocky is at it in a giant trashcan.  I'm just saying, this could be Mayweather's actual last match.  I would like it to be Rocky who punched cow meet, chased chicken, run downtown streets of Philadelphia, and did everything he could to put on a great match.  This is it, make it a good one.  Give Apollo a good run for his money.  Go Andre Berto, Go. 

Let's give Mayweather his due.  He's paid the price for his choice of fighters.  He can afford that.  It's just one of those things you have to agree on.  He deserves that right.  Let's have it back fire on him.  Let's give Andre Berto the benefit of the doubt going into this fight.  Go Andre Berto, Go.

In what kind of "sport" are you able to choose your opponent?

Anything related to Mayweather is a joke because he's a joke.

Mayweather has worked harder and smarter than anyone you know personally, including yourself. He hasn't reached the top by being a joke, you don't even go pro by being a joke. Have you ever tried devoting yourself to a fighting sport, maybe even for a few months?

The true joke is pro sportsmen/women getting shit like this the more they are famous, from people that have no idea what it takes to have certain achievements behind you.

As a mayweather hater, i have to agree with the boxing world

In boxing apparently. 

Berto is 30-3 with 23 KO's. Sure those 3 loses came recently but he's not awful.

He is a joke like most boxing, its corrupt and a joke. The way boxers are build means they fight bus majority of their careers, May just continued that practice through out.

Its hard to name any top opponent that was in their prime May ever fought, he always choose famous guys at the tail end of their careers.

The funny thing to me is that 90% of those guys would do the same thing if they had the chance to retire undefeated.

Mayweather gets called out for doing what almost every other boxer and promoter does on a regular basis. It comes with the territory, obviously, of being the best, most famous, and most controversial, but it's still kind of amusing.
