Yea, but we already pay tax through our internet service providers.  I don't believe a streaming or gaming service should be taxed.  I suppose they want to make up with loss tax from movie theaters in the upcoming years.  I already avoiding going to movies due to the high price and the recent attacks might start detering other people.

Difference of opinion. We need to make cuts or add taxes, something has to give.

I started going less because ticket prices became insane. Now wait for $5 Wednesday or $2 second run cinema. $12 is simply absurd to watch a film.

& don't try to eat. Amusement Parks do that bullshit too. I remember walking around Six Flags and it was hot as hell and their water fountains were hot as fuck as well. Bet it's never cold just to push their cold beverages which are like $3.75 for a 20oz. Ridiculous. Mini rant off topic but it was on my mind lol

The amusement tax is a joke! I had to pay it when I was a Cubs season ticket holder. Illinois is in such a mess, and raising taxes is trying to take the easy way out.

We're gonna complain about this? Really? We Americans pay so little in taxes as it is relative to the world. This is the result when citizens ask to have things fixed; you don't have a plumber come over and fix your sink and then tell him to get out.

The real lroblem here is that it's Chicago, so that money is going to be handled very poorly.

You should check out my YouTube channel, The Golden Bolt!  I review all types of video games, both classic and modern, and I also give short flyover reviews of the free games each month on PlayStation Plus to tell you if they're worth downloading.  After all, the games may be free, but your time is valuable!

I don't have a problem with paying taxes.  I live in Indiana, and I feel like they use the money better than Illinois.  Restructuring is sometimes a better alternative than coming up with new ways to tax citizens.

3.75 even if the tax was 20% the original price is still over $3 for that drink, the issue there is the company not the local tax.

Why not check me out on youtube and help me on the way to 2k subs over at www.youtube.com/stormcloudlive

Why is there a system where a city can add tax to something? I don't get that.. Like they could actually add taxes to say.. Red sneakers? Making them more expensive the blue sneakers?

How else would a city/town pay for it's schools, police, firemen, etc.?

We can add that to the list of things wrong with Chicago.

Could you buy a PS+/XBL Gold 12 month code from another state? If the retailer is based in another state?

Or is it purely which state the customer is?

PS, PS2, Gameboy Advance, PS3, PSP, PS4, Xbox One

I pay the city: a fixed price for trash (340 euro's a year), variable on the other stuff based on the value of my house.. Something like 0.06 percent.. My city doesn't tax me on stuff they don't have anything to do with... Especially on other peoples products
