Got 27 more Wiis in today, two days after the last shipment. Since we did not advertise these in any way, or tell people about them before hand, there was not a line at 8 AM waiting for them.

However, we did sell out by 11 AM, two hours after we opened, which means that at least 27 people came in on a chance and happened to pick up a Wii within the first two hours of opening the store.

We were also sold out of Mario Galaxy by 11. We had nearly 100 copies of the game, although some of those 100 are still being held for people who had preorders. 

well its gonna be really hard to get a wii this holiday and i know a lot of people who are planning to leave it till last minute to get one thinking there will be heaps..... idiots i say!

I hope you get another shipment in quick smart - I would have pushed to order as many you were allowed (guess this was a HQ decision?).

For comparison - how many copies of GH or Halo (or other games) did you have?

That's pretty telling about the demand in your area.  I think most people would now be aware, after a year of shortages, that if they want to get a Wii reliably, they need to get up early on Sunday morning.  The fact that an unannounced shipment still sold out in 2 hours is pretty significant.

wow ive just read this whole thread and its really amazing. I work at a target store in adelaide(not in electronics but in recieving) and i get to see what stock comes in. we havnt had any ps 3deliveries for at least 2 months and wii and x360 both get roughly 2-4 a week. what really sells here is the ds. we received 70 copies a week ago and it was sold out in 30 minutes. psp doesnt sell well. tough times for sony.

If supply is increasing everywhere as fast as it is at Bod's store, this week's Wii sales will be amazing.

here in my country Portugal - Europe - every store as at least 2 or 3 wii on sale... until now never sold out.
