Forums - Politics Discussion - What would make you leave your country forever?

If we keep following Venezuela's path.

Actually, I wouldn't mind leaving the states now but unfortunately I don't have the funds for it. Too tired of the politicians' infighting and how the country is being ran in general. I rather not be in the states when it eventually goes belly up. Japan or somewhere in Europe would be nice.

It won't split since all political parties need someone to blame for this.

The national debt has already robbed Belgium from any real proper, non-greek future. The people just haven't figured it out yet :(.

In the wilderness we go alone with our new knowledge and strength.

If too many muslim or just immigrants came into sweden and our goverment continues to bullshit around like they do now

Yeah, the current goverment is implementing austerity to *correct the debt created by the previous socialist-liberal-cristian democratic government*

In the mean time this government has seen our debt rise 4,5% over a year while under the previous government, our debt decreased slightly.

live in the US.

Things are not always great here, but I have visited most countries that are considered generally desirable, and I am always reminded how good we really have it.

However if I had to move, I would move to Japan. The population is 99% Japanese. I am really tired of all the race drama in the US. It would be nice to be a minority in a country that does not give a f- about minorities(or their issues). Note- I am not Asian. South Korea is okay too, just a little too close to north Korea for me.

The other thing I like about Japan and ROK is the way they do their laws. In the US the legal system is designed to keep morons from hurting themselves and people from hurting other people.

In Korea its all about preventing people from hurting others. If you do something self destructive there, oh well, go ahead and do it. If you do something that endangers others or hurts them you are fucked. Try getting a DUI in Japan. See ya in a decade buddy. Look at the Ferry incident, they want to put the Captain to death for negligence that cost lives. I say fuck ya.

You know there has been a study about what people perceive immigration numbers to be. It was found most people in Europe overestimate migrant numbers anywhere from 9-29%.

A more and more common sentiment.
