Forums - Politics Discussion - What would make you leave your country forever?

If any of the current crop of clowns know as Republican presidential candidates were elected, I'd want to leave.

Donald Trump getting elected for president.  I'm out. No hope.  Good bye America.

On the general and common stuff, yeah but with quality healthcare it doesn't. Alot of people have to go to states to get operations because their country either doesn't do the operation or it locked behind a long waiting line or there just better doctors in states.

Proof or isn't true.

It's a common myth among Americans. The amount of people who go to the States for healthcrae reasons is very, very small. Usually extremely rich people or to receive experimental treatment.

The US healthcare is ranked 37th in the world in terms of overall quality despite being BY FAR the most expensive.

You can get anything in the states treated if you have the insurance and/or the money. That's fact. If you have a rare illness, you're better off going to states to get it treated. I'm not gonna do the research for ya.  Anyway, I'm just gonna leave this topic be because i didn't see the mod warning on this topic before I posted about it.

I already would leave if I had a shitload of money. Germany isn't that great. Bureaucracy is batshit crazy and the weather also sucks most of the time. On top of that, many people here are assholes. They are constantly complaining about something, you can never make it right to them. It's really getting on my nerves. So just give me a million Euros or something and I am off to Jamaica in no time!

I wouldn't be so fast to do that. Its far from perfect here. The government is so incompetent and corrupt it drives me crazy. The same political party has been in power for years and has done almost nothing to help this country while their strongest opposition is too busy fighting amongst themselves to try and actually win an election. I would be long gone if my family wasn't somewhat prominent and if I didn't see the untapped potential of this country. Though I wouldn't say you hate it if you moved here since we have family friends that have left the UK, Cyprus and South Korea and have been happy here for years. One couple only leaves every other year to visit their grandchildren in the UK.

If you live some where Nazi support can be measured in a poll you live some where with a lot of nazis. In answer to your question if Trump becomes president I am out of here.

Not really, I live in a place where people are not afraid to state their political leanings. Freedom of speech and whatnot. In fact, 1-2% is relatively small, I hear in Scandinavia right-wing extremists get like 5% after the Muslim influx.

Damn. I guess america is just really good at hating Nazi's .

I have no desire to leave my country now but if I do leave it would most likely be for economic or career opportunity reasons and not political ones ...

I could deal with the sharia law, fascist or communist governments so long as they aren't hostile to or a particular demographic pertaining to me but I will most certainly not sacrifice my life style just to have the most rights as a civilian ...

You can have all the rights or freedom in the world but that won't mean anything if you can hardly fill your stomach, get a cozy bed to sleep on, get lots of time to spend on your hobbies or luxuries, have big houses and a family ...

Like some people say, "money can buy freedom" but freedom often can't do the opposite ...

Falling in love with someone from another country did it to me. Plus the population density of over a 1000 per sq mile had me itching to leave anyway. Too many people in The Netherlands. I don't miss not fitting in public transport, hour long traffic jams, and feeling like you're part of a parade every time the sun comes out.

It's not that I don't like them but instead more that I don't speak the language of any other EU country. If moving to a different country I would want to at least be able to speak the language.

That's a good point. Although I've had no problem speaking English in most western-European countries. In Germany, even poor 60-year-olds from a village speak decent English, at least in my experience, so.. And I hear up north you'd really have a hard time finding anyone who doesn't speak English...

What sort of new law, event or widespread idea among your people would be enough to make you emaigrate to another country?

(And also where are you from, obviously)

If the Christians start legislating their religion, I would leave. (USA)

Well, the Nazis were the last American enemy who were demonstrably more evil than them, so I can understand why they retain the hate after all these years. Reminds them of their g(l)ory days
