Forums - Sales Discussion - Revenue of the largest computer and video game publishers worldwide in 2015 (in billion euros)

If Nintendo released games on more platforms they would probably be at the top. Now even with hardware they barely beat EA and Activision/Blizzard.

Hardware. The PS4's selling at a ridiculous rate.

Nope, not hardware. Sony probbaky doesn't make more than $30 profit on every PS4 sold. what it really is are games and PS+. And by games I mean primarily royalties from 3rd party game sales.

What? When the PS4 launched, maybe. With the euro at $1.35 or so until only recently. The price of the GDDR5 RAM halved just after six months. The PS4 (unlike the main competitor) is still selling at full price, with some bundles at 400 USD/euro in the middle. That's all profit.

I've been reading the other day that Apple makes 92% of the profits on mobile. Samsung another 15% (and since 92+15 = 107 it means others share the 7% of losses). I wonder what the numbers for profits on consoles are.

kind of unfair, because sony and Microsoft numbers include hardware

all other companies are pure software driven (unless tencent) the also have some social and software stuff beside games

Nintendo numbers also include hardware.

Its sad to see King Entertainment above Ubisoft. Also by the end of the year I expect ActiVision and EA to both be above 10 billion euros. COD AW, COD BO III and WOW will help ActiVision to reach there and EA Access, FIFA 16, Madden 16 and SW BF will help EA to reach there.

yes, but it's a cheap handheld
nintendo need to sell 3 3ds to make up the revenue of 1 xb1 or ps4

so the numbers are pretty well, but the revenue is still kinda low

Up until 2011 (maybe 2012, I'm not sure), Nintendo made much more revenue than Playstation and Xbox.
