This chart is horrifically wrong.

Tencent is number 1, EA was 4.1 billion euro last year.

I mean come on, at least fact check before posting crap like this.

Except when you realize how few games King and GungHo have. A small amount of releases that leads to making the global top ten.

Of course, this would also include non-console gaming revenues for each publisher as well.

Hence "can't show the whole story."

EA was 3.95 billion euro in fiscal year 2015.

At least be correct with your corrections

I'm not sure who's correct but converting 4.5 billion $US to euro comes to 4.1 billion euro

What exchange rate are you using? I used a current exchange rate.

Also this is calendar year, not fiscal year.

Also this compares hardware and software for some company but only software for other company, and sometime mixture of both. Nintendo should not be that high for example. It's about same revenue as Ubisoft when looking at game software, slightly higher.

I used current exchange rate.

4.319 billion USD x 0.91039 = 3.934 billion EUR

Source for EA 4.319 billion USD revenue:

http://www.ea.com/news/electronic-arts-reports-q4-fy15-and-full-year-fy15-financial-results

I also have to ask how it possibly could be calendar year, given that it's for 2015, and calendar year 2015 is barely halfway...

Because these are estimated figures for calendar year.

Estimated by the companies or by Statista?

Anyway, EA forecast a fiscal year 2016 revenue of 4.4 billion USD, not sure why revenue for calendar year 2015 would be much higher than that (Given that three of the four quarters in fiscal year 2016 and calendar year 2015 are the same...), so it still shouldn't be 4.1 billion Euro.

kind of unfair, because sony and Microsoft numbers include hardware

all other companies are pure software driven (unless tencent) the also have some social and software stuff beside games
