You need classic??? = Black and White 1 & 2, Hospital what ever ( i forgot ) it's from EA, a very old games , Age of Empire Series, Total War Samurai, Civilization V & All Expansion Pack, etc so many LOl

It's called Theme Hospital and it's from Bullfrog, not EA (EA owns the IP since they bought Bullfrog, but it's not made by them). And it's a damn good and funny game, too.

@OP: If you're into RPG, I suggest you Shadowrun Returns with it's expansions Dragonfall and Hong Kong (coming soon) and some of the user-made scenarios, quite a few very good ones there. Wasteland 2, Pillars of Eternity, The Banner Saga are some other very good RPG not made by a big publisher but easely at least similar in therms of quality.

Oh, and since you're asking for classics: check out GOG.com, the site is choke-full of them. Also the best place to buy the Witcher games since it's also their in-house shop and DRM free.

Jeez hate on Alienware is always embarassing. Just because it's overpriced doesn't mean it's bad. Did it ever occur to haters that some people are not interested in building and saving and simply want out of box machine. It is NOT the case of more money than sense.

Deus Ex (2000) - a game that pushes the boundaries of what the video game medium is capable of to a degree unmatched to this very day.

Command & Conquer.

Wait a second. You bought an Alienware? I seriously reccomend you return it asap if you can, and order a proper rig online, for way less money. Alienware is overpriced crap.

No reason to make him feel bad about his purchase...he clearly has money to spend or else he would have looked for a cheaper option or bought a PS4 or an XBO.

Cheers for the feedback, and I'm sure that I could have done way better if I had more PC experience and was inclined to build. It was a bit of an impulse buy, just decided and did it. While I am by no means rich money wasn't a big deal for me, I just wanted to get something and get started. I will list specs, I had to get a laptop unfortunately as it is doubling as a work computer - I realise that a desktop is better when it comes to gaming.

Intel® Core™ i7-5500U Processor (Dual-Core, 4MB Cache, up to 3.0GHz w/ Turbo Boost)

16GB Dual Channel DDR3L 1600MHz (2x8GB)

256GB Mobility Solid State Drive - (I have a 1TB external HDD to use too)

NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 960M with 2GB GDDR5

13 inch QHD+ (3200 x 1800) IPS-Panel TrueLife 400-nits Display with Touch Technology

This comes with 1 year warranty/support and 3 years anti virus, Microsoft Office etc.

So not a beast of a rig but I think that's ok to get me started no?

- Portal 1 & 2
- Half-life 1, 2 and episodes (The orange box contains all games)
- Bioshock 1, 2 and infinite
- Braid
- Limbo
- Fez

Don't forget to download and play the best free maps of Portal 1 and 2. There is a big community around those games.

-Thief I, II and III
-Myth I and II (avoid III unless you can have it for free, in that case you can give it a try, but it's disappointing to say the least compared to the first two)
-Gobliiins
-Planescape:Torment
-Lost Vikings

And the games the others suggested

Stwike him, Centuwion. Stwike him vewy wuffly! (Pontius Pilate, "Life of Brian")
A fart without stink is like a sky without stars.
TGS, Third Grade Shooter: brand new genre invented by Kevin Butler exclusively for Natal WiiToo Kinect. PEW! PEW-PEW-PEW!

Diablo II, Starcraft or Warcraft. :)

lets make this fun for him...

RTS: warcraft 3+ addon. dont search for a realy cheap one or a sale, its not gonna happen. maybe you can get both in one, but otherwise, yes the game is still in retail for a highish price. but its worth it, its the best RTS ever made, servers are still up, you can find a game without problem and the big mods are all up and you can find games without problems(try dota, battleships, shoppingmaul, all realy great mods, and you just have to join a game to download the map and thats all for modding) and it aged very well.
starcraft+addon same like Warcraft 3, some would argue it is even better, but others like me realy like some of the "new" mechanics of warcaft. the gameplay is still miles ahead of every new rts.
you can get it at retail in a bundle with warcraft 2 and diablo+ expansion. thats a good choice, warcraft 2 hasnt aged so well, but its fine, and dia is still a great game.

age of empires 1+2 are good too, but the gameplay was never realy as good as war/starcrafts but the games still feel good, and there are hd ports.

c&c well you can get all of em for cheap, and the singleplayer is worth it. i would recommend generals as your test of the water, the basegame is the best, and the singleplayer is fun, but doesnt have the same cutscene glory than the old.

total war is a nice series too, and you can get the best 3 for cheap (rome, medieval 2 and shogun 2), the modding for medieval 2 is realy huge

star wars empire at war has one realy great aspect, space battles, they are realy fun, specialy in galaxy conquest.
the rest of the game is meh...

and last but not least paradox games. yes they arent rts, but they fit here best.
europa universalis, crusader kings and hearts of iron are all realy great. i would recommend europa universalis 4, crusader kings 2 and hearts of iron 2 or 3. they are way more strategie games like most other rts(alot of rts are more tactic games). but they are not for everyone. the civ series is a bit like it, but the paradox games are way superior.

so that it for rts. i will recommend fps games later, but atm my round of lol started.

Half-life 1/2/Episode One/Episode 2
Portal 1/2
Bioshock/Bioshock 2/Bioshock Infinite
Broken Sword 1/2
The Talos Principle
Walking Dead Season One/ Season Two

I could be going on and on, but just a few ones which come to my mind xDDD

Counter Strike and Quake III are must-play games! Also, I don't know if you like platformers but the Jazz Jackrabbit games are pretty fun!
