I suspect there was a clause/pre-requisite in the deal that hasn't been met so they can reveal other releases.

Something along the lines of X1 sales not being high enough at this period of time or pre-orders not being high enough. Once they failed to meet that goal, SE were free to reveal the remaining platforms.

I think that the announcement was necessary. We all know that SFV is a "forever" deal and we had rumours that TR could be a deal of 2 or 3 months (bad for them). So clarifying that it's for a year, a significant time, it was the best thing to do.

Why wouldn't they want more good games?

They are getting "more good games" I'm talking about the wait. It's irrelevant due to U4 release. If anything it is a benefit because Sony only players can pick it up later with packed in DLC at a reduced price and still have IMO a better game in the mean time.

The games aren't even out yet, so excuse me if I don't take your opinion all that seriously. Trying to spin a one-year delay as a good thing is new to me though.

Not their biggest but point made. 

Um. It makes sense for them to launch during Holiday's 2016. If they launched during the spring they would be going up against UC4. I doubt they are.allowed to release it during the winter (within 2 months of XB1 release). So it come down to.a.summer or fall release. They obviously see the fall being more profitable.
