Forums - Politics Discussion - White Squad: Professional White Advantage Services

So a cab service aimed at bringing White advantages to minorities actually exists and it doesn't serve white people. LOL .

Edit: Site know as Fake, thanks Kitler53:

Seems like MTV’s satirical “White Squad” campaign has stirred up the masses by creating a campaign that raises awareness on some important racial issues still present in the US. The campaign that was created by the NYC based agency Party New York and produced by Reform School and is part of a larger anti-prejudice initiative “Look Different” started by the channel.

The concept of the campaign spot was to showcase the “White Squad” as a group of cleverly selected and socially appropriate white individuals and services offering to all those “outside the white race,” from catching a cab and getting a loan to finding a place in college and even taking the place of their client in court for them. The cleverly written punchlines walk on thin ice, yet they’re also very careful not to shatter it. The video also has really depressing real-life statistics such as white people receive 40% more private scholarships and have a 67 % lower incarceration rate. This campaign might be entertaining at first glimpse, but its message is rather strong and a serious invitation to all of us to think of social injustices.

The campaign was even further developed on a digital platform where you can actually meet the “White Squad Crew” and see their full range of services. One of them is the “Young Nondescript White Man,” always eager to assist the marginalized by providing them ordinary everyday experiences in real life situations, like walking on the street late at night, avoiding being suspicious and pulled over for informative interrogation. By clicking the “schedule appointment” button, the organization reveals the purpose of this campaign:“to illustrate how white privilege works and how it impacts people’s lives.”

In just a short amount of time since the campaign has started, a debate was created on both social and traditional media. While some were blown away by the cleverly and satirically addressed issue, there are also those who find it offensive to the Caucasian race. However, most interestingly, there have been those who have found the campaign so convincing that they really thought of using the “White Squad” to tackle some of the problems they face everyday, but as the website mentions“White privilege is real. White Squad is fiction.”

Then don't post on this thread and let it die. Stop  giving attention to threads you don't want on this site.

Lol. I don't really know if that's how it works. I just wish people would talk about politics somewhere else.
